Paul Walker is probably best known for his roles in "The Fast and the Furious" with Vin Diesel and in the Disney film "Eight Below." This handsome young man with dark blond hair has shown a lot of talent and is becoming a notable name in Hollywood.

Shown here, Paul's hair is cut in a simple, easy-to-care-for buzz cut. The hair is uniformly clipper-cut to approximately 3/8 inch or 1/2 inch in length. This cut works for most hair types and wave patterns, but you should consider the shape of your skull to determine if this style would be most flattering for you. Men with oddly shaped or angular skulls might find themselves unhappy with such a short cut.

The Cut:

To achieve the look shown here, simply cut the hair using clippers with a 3/8-inch guide attachment (usually a #3 guide, but it may be noted as #3.5 or #3-1/2). Cut the hair slowly and be careful not to overload the clippers.

Once the hair is evenly cut, use the clippers without an attachment or an edger to shape the perimeter around the ears, including the sideburns.

The nape area is left untrimmed in the photo, giving a more organic and somewhat masculine sensibility to the look. The idea is that the lack of grooming detail lends a "rough and ready" air. The same goes for the five-o'clock shadow on his face.

The Style:

As with other buzz cuts, cleansing and moisturizing the scalp is important. The hair can be towel-dried, and then a little sunscreen or moisturizer applied, and you will be good to go.

You could use a styling gel and a fine-tooth comb or brush to direct the hair if you want a more defined look.
