New Book: “Natural & Curly Hair for Dummies”

Celebrity hair stylist Johnny Wright announced his first book in partnership with the bestselling For Dummies series: Natural & Curly Hair for Dummies.

The book helps readers on their natural and curly hair journey by taking them through the biological basics of natural and curly hair. Johnny Wright shares his favorite personal product recommendations and provides insider professional tips for protecting and maintaining healthy hair. He goes beyond practical how-to steps and dos and don’ts and offers his book, Natural & Curly Hair for Dummies, as a space for the curly and natural hair community. The book is an instruction manual, but also a style maven, and a life guide that centers the curly and natural hair community in the spotlight.

Johnny is a celebrity hair stylist with more than 30 years of experience. He worked his way through Chicago and then Los Angeles before spending eight years as Michelle Obama's personal hairdresser during the Obama Administration. Since 2019, Johnny Wright has worked as Tamron Hall's key hairstylist on her Emmy-Award winning eponymous daytime talk show. He co-starred in "To Catch a Beautician" with Tamar Braxton on Vh1. Over his career, Johnny has served in many roles, such as creative director for SoftSheen Carson for L'Oreal and ambassador for many brands.
