TOP HAIR Hairdressing Event
TOP HAIR Messe Düsseldorf 2013 has shown that the event, now in its ninth year, has become firmly established as leading trade fair for the German hairdressing trade. With 32,000 visitors, it even surpassed the record result of last year. “The unanimous enthusiasm of the exhibitors and the high acceptance among visitors demonstrate that TOP HAIR Düsseldorf has become a firm fixture that cannot be ignored by anybody in the hairdressing world”, is the contented reaction of Joachim Schäfer, Managing Director of Messe Düsseldorf GmbH. 400 exhibitors and brands from 19 countries were on show in three halls at the Düsseldorf exhibition center.Rolf Wilms, Managing Director of TOP HAIR International GmbH and publisher of the magazine by the same name, also drew a positive conclusion. “We are very pleased and see this as confirmation that we have prepared a concept whose content is based very closely on the needs of the hairdressing industry. Part of the secret of our success is undoubtedly also that we, as organisers, have very emotional links to the exhibitors and hairdressers.” The ambience and the professional atmosphere also met with great acceptance among visitors and exhibitors.
The TOP HAIR International Trend & Fashion Days Düsseldorf again impressed with a glittering show programme. The traditional highlight was Saturday evening with the show by Russian superstar Dmitry Vinokurov. However, the remainder of the show program, with its international top teams, is also unique and can only be admired in this form in Düsseldorf. This year, this included the collection première of Sassoon, performances by mod’s hair international, Shan Rahimkhan, Toni & Guy or the icono Academy.
In the halls, visitor numbers were in part huge and resulted in heavily crowded exhibitor stands. “The enormous rush created challenges for Messe Düsseldorf. The high number of appearances by prominent persons undoubtedly also contributed to this”, commented Director Helmut Winkler. Among others, Sylvie van der Vaart, Udo Walz, Michael Michalsky, Marlies Möller or Annemarie Warnkross ensured that certain glamour factor.
The high quality trade fair offers a complete overview of the market for exclusive hairdressing products, devices, professional articles and services, with a clear distinction between the order and direct sales sector that is greatly appreciated by visitors. A total of 120 practically-related presentations around the three core themes Cut, Colour and Styling were held on the heavily surrounded workshop stages. Many leading international players from the industry were represented here. These included Martina Acht, Mario Krankl, Marlies Möller, Frank Brormann, Kertu hair & style, Markus Herrmann, Brockmann and Knödler, Bärbel Hopf, Paul Mitchell, the Goldwell Creative Team, the Capelli Group, Paul Brown Hawaii, Meininghaus, Mike Karg, the Team Gandini, Pivot Point or KMS California.
Top speakers such as Regina Först, Wolf Davids, Anitra Eggler or Daniela Ben Said then presented entrepreneurial subjects such as marketing, salon management or personality formation to visitors in the permanently full Congress, while the Monday invited people to join in the workshops and the cutting factory under the slogan “Career and Training”.
