The Hair Project 2024
The event was marked by a vibrant atmosphere of camaraderie among peers, offering a blend of business opportunities through exhibitor stands, networking sessions, and inspiration from high-caliber shows and numerous product demonstrations. It was a testament to the dynamism of the hairdressing sector, with professionals embracing current challenges in our rapidly evolving world.
The mainstage events drew packed audiences with an inspiring lineup. Particularly notable was the captivating show by Kinki Kappers (by L’Oréal Professionnel), which showcased creativity, bold colors, daring looks, innovative cutting techniques, and hairstyling narratives emphasizing personal freedom.
Other presentations on the main stage primarily focused on technical expertise. Ludovic Beckers and Davide Varselona (Line-scissors & Curve-O) demonstrated forward-thinking cutting techniques encouraging creativity, while Louise Vlaar (Keune Haircosmetics) shared her insights on trendsetting editorial looks.
Educational presentations by eight instructors from the Febelhair Academy covered various trends, including the trendy Cub cut and English-inspired women's cuts with refreshing styling, timeless everyday cuts with a modern twist, a global perspective on hairstyling, and creative visions of 'Lazychic' style.
The event also featured a strong focus on men's hairstyling. In collaboration with BaByLissPRO, two barber battles were organized. Geoffrey Godderis of SCHOFT emerged victorious in the Solo battle, while Anthony and Romain of US Barbershop clinched the top prize in the Duo battle.
Winners received a BaByliss PRO Gift Pack valued at €1,000. Additionally, educational workshops led by Barber Franklin, Kate Steen & Cay Kleeven for Wahl, and Darios Barbers provided insights and entertainment. The BaBylissPRO FX Experience featured renowned barbers showcasing their skills, adding excitement to the event.
The success of The Hair Project 2024 sets the stage for an eagerly anticipated next edition, scheduled for March 1st and 2nd, 2026, at Kortrijk Xpo, Kortrijk, Belgium. With its blend of innovation, education, and camaraderie, The Hair Project continues to be a cornerstone event in the ever-evolving landscape of the hairdressing industry.
