Previous pageGet Used to Your New Look
The average person needs at least one to two weeks to adjust to a change in their physical appearance. It's not uncommon for plastic surgery patients to experience a period of unhappiness or depression as they get used to their new appearance, despite their strong desire to change certain physical characteristics of their bodies or faces.
Give yourself two weeks to get used to it. If you still don't like it, go back to the salon and have it changed or adjusted to your liking. Most of the time, the stylist will understand because they have dealt with people who have made impulsive decisions and been unhappy with the results many times throughout their career. Just remember that you'll have to pay for this service as well because the stylist was not at fault in this situation.
Hair Grows Back
Last, but not least, remember that hair grows back. If you made a mistake, or you hate your new hair, or your newfound "bro" at the downtown salon was a talentless, tasteless fool, despite the convincing disguise of her nose ring and a strange-looking gnome tattoo with the word "Angle" written below it on her upper arm; just remember that it really will grow back. This experience will provide you with a legitimate topic to discuss with your therapist for a few sessions, and you'll have a nice story to tell your grandchildren one day as a bonus.
There are also always means and ways to help your hair grow back faster, although some work better than others. If you do a bit of research, you'll find that most of the answers are quite simple and obvious. Taking a good daily vitamin, massaging your scalp a few times daily, using specialized shampoos, etc. These days, hair extensions can be pretty cheap and serve as the perfect lifesaver for too-short hair.
