Hair Clippers Buying Guide (2)
Previous page
You become more prone to nicks and cuts as well as razor burn. When those razors start to dull, it is a sign to change the blade or get a new razor. The same applies to clippers. If you don't keep up with them, they will rebel against you and you won't be happy nor will the person whose hair you're cutting, unless it's your own and even then, you deserve the best.
You can find clippers at a local drugstore, but your best bet is to write down your specific needs and then do the research that way. You can then choose two or three brands that really fit your lifestyle and budget, then go to a hair store and have the employees help you with your purchase. A Sally Beauty Supply store or buying clippers online is great, or you can politely ask your stylist what brand they would suggest if you like how they cut your hair. I am a Wahl fan, personally, and I would recommend them to anyone. However, I know that Philips Norelco is an accessible brand that you can touch and feel at a Target or Walmart if that is more local to you.
If this is going to be something that you and your partner will be using, you two should make the time to look at these products together and not rush into it. You will want to have these clippers for a while, and if you are going to make the investment, you want to put your money in the right brand and you want it to fit your lifestyle, like any other beauty product you would purchase.
Don't buy the cheapest, but find a happy medium, and once you start to feel comfortable, move up from there. Clippers are like a ladder: you will just keep climbing until you reach the top and in the end, you will be grateful that you found the best and chose to go this route. You will be saving time and money and will soon become a clippers expert. Good luck and have fun!
