Up-Style for a Short Haircut Effect

At the 4th Annual Governors' Awards (December 1, 2012) in Hollywood, Kelly Reilly appeared to have cut her hair short for the event. However, upon closer inspection, you notice the loose up-style that gives the illusion of a short haircut.
Her gown is sleeveless with a deep V-neckline and a fitted bodice in satin-finished burgundy silk, complemented by a sheer, black-lace caftan-style overlay that evokes an almost Grecian aesthetic. Simple accessories in antique gold and jet stones, along with a black patent-leather clutch, lend an air of Victorian elegance.
