Katharine McPhee, one of American Idol's favorite alumni, hit the True Blood Season Six Premiere on June 11th, 2013. The fresh-faced starlet looked gorgeous as usual, sporting a fun and whimsical hairstyle.

McPhee normally wears her hair in a brunette shade, although she has had fun being a blonde a time or two. She currently has a darker shade of brown with a subtle red tone that makes the hair color look warm and rich.

The tips of her hair strands are dipped in bleach to create a faded ombré effect. This subtle change in shade from darker roots to lighter tips has been in fashion for some time now. McPhee's shorter hair still pulls off the color treatment beautifully.

Katharine's hair is cut into a medium-length bob that falls below her chin. Her bangs are grown out, parted down the middle for a symmetrical look, and swooped out and away from the face. Subtle layering helps shape the cut and makes it slightly rounded.

The ends of the hair are curled with a large iron to add body and texture. The look is then tousled for a fun, laid-back feel. We love it!
