On October 2nd, 2014, actress Hilary Swank attended the opening night of the 37th Annual Mill Valley Film Festival, looking absolutely stunning. Dressed to impress in a cobalt and navy Peter Pilotto color block dress paired with Casadei pumps, she perfectly executed an ombré hair color.

Hilary's golden brunette color starts at the roots and gradually lightens into a sun-kissed chestnut hue, creating a flawless ombré effect. Her side-swept flowing hair was achieved by first applying a heat shield spray to protect the graduated tones.

During blow-drying, a firming cream was used to ensure her beautiful waves maintained their shape, aided by the thick texture of Swank's hair, which helped preserve the curvy contours. After applying the essential styling products, Hilary's hair was parted to the side and brushed around to her right, deliberately revealing the jewels adorning the left side of her stunning dress.

Next, a large barrel curling wand was used to create Hilary's fluid and smooth rolling waves. Thick sections of hair, from her cheekbone to the ends, were loosely wrapped around the hot wand. To finish her elegant look, a generous coat of hairspray was applied to the crown area to smooth down any stray hairs. Further down the hair, a lighter concentration of hairspray was applied to maintain a movable and pliable feel.

Hilary looked phenomenal, and we adore this simple yet elegant hairstyle.
