Trevor Sorbie

Hair for a retro masculine look

Stylists from Trevor Sorbie in Brighton are holding their heads high having made it through to the Grand Final of the L'Oréal Professionnel Colour Trophy. Anna Chapman, 24, and Kate Wilson, 38, are now one step away from realising a lifelong career dream; to win the Men’s Image title at the world’s longest-running, most stylish hairdressing competition.

Anna and Kate explain the inspiration behind their striking image: “We wanted to create a strong, masculine look that incorporated retro 80’s styling and the forthcoming catwalk trend for tartan. The pure blonde colour proves that men can make a bold statement with their hair without looking too flamboyant. It’s ultra-modern, fresh, and inspiring.”

For Anna and Kate it seemed like an eternity before the judges delivered their verdict. Upon hearing their name announced, they leapt off their chairs in delight. “We’re thrilled to be representing the salon at the Grand Final,” said a delighted Anna. “There’s been a long run of dark-haired winners in the Men’s Image category. It’s time for a change and hopefully ours will be the look to make it happen.”
