The Gentry

Grown-up look hairstyle for men

Stylists from The Gentry in Goffs Oak are holding their heads high having made it through to the Grand Final of the L'Oréal Professionnel Colour Trophy. Marc Eastlake and Jody Quinn are now one step away from realising a lifelong career dream; to win the Men’s Image title at the world’s longest-running, most stylish hairdressing competition.

Marc and Jody explain the inspiration behind their striking image: "We wanted to create an expensive, grown-up look. Using layers of texture and colour, we were aiming for a metallic effect with the clothes styling which worked in harmony with our model’s smooth, slick hair. To finish, we decided on a dramatic black fur coat in order to make a big style statement."

L'Oréal Colour Trophy

For Marc and Jody it seemed like an eternity before the judges delivered their verdict. Upon hearing their name announced, they leapt off their chairs in delight. "Although we won the L'Oréal Professionnel Colour Trophy in 2006, we didn’t want to go in to the regional final with too much confidence," explained Marc. "We just love this competition. To see your model on the Grand Final catwalk is incredibly emotional and we are really looking forward to experiencing that moment again."
