Hair Brasil 2008
The biggest of all the editions of Hair Brasil – 7th International Beauty, Hair and Esthetics Fair, held in the city of São Paulo,
Brazil, closed with a record of 75 thousand professional visits, 23% over 2007.
The fair was held from March 29th to April 1st 2008 and hosted professionals from all over Brazil and from several countries in Latin
America, United States and Europe, with special mention for Chile, Venezuela, Argentina, Uruguay and Bolivia.
The 7th Hair Brasil also staged several important meetings of international personalities of the World of the Coiffure, namely Klaus
Peter Ochs, president of Intercoiffure Mondial and the artistic directors of the Fondation Guillaume, Bruno Sommer and Nino Altobelli.
Also attending Hair Brasil were: Eric Lenoir, general director of Mondial Coiffure Beauté (MCB), the most important hairstyle and
beauty care fair in France; Sylvia Bajoz, foreign trade manager of Cosmobelleza; Spain hairstyle and beauty care fair; and Claudia
Beccaris, representative of Cosmesur Beautyworld, Buenos Aires, Argentina hairstyle and beauty care fair.
Mega shows: fashion trends for hair styles
Art, beauty and talent galore were the main ingredients of the Megashow Hair Brasil, that featured 16 shows where hairstylists of the
major beauty salons of Brazil showed distinct styles and haircut techniques, coloring and hairstyles.

Workshops
Hair Brasil Workshops covered topics related to haircuts, hairstyles, coloring, makeup, salon management, nails hygiene and beautifying
treatment.
Says Jeferson Santos: "Besides showing techniques and tips resulting from daily work in salons, these courses broach also issues
related to management of salons and human resources, professional posture, behavior and quality of life. We had some 3000 participants,
43% over the 2007 edition”.
Fair expands in 2009
The next edition of Hair Brasil is already scheduled: March 28th to 31st, 2009, at the Expo Center Norte, in the city of São Paulo,
Brazil. Organizers are foreseeing a new expansion of over 10 thousand square meters of exhibition. The strong expansion of the beauty
care market in Brazil will give the opportunity to Hair Brasil to feature an even more diversified and extensive fair, that will meet
the expectations of the different beauty care, hair care and esthetics segments.
