This short wavy style is created on the base of a layered bob cut. The layering is focused primarily around the forward perimeter of the hair framing the face. The soft bends and “S”-curves in the hairstyle could easily be created using an old-fashioned technique for styling known as “finger-waving”. The damp hair is plied with styling gel and is arranged using a comb and the fingers into a series of curves and ridges. The hair is then dried and the now hardened shapes are loosened and combed or brushed out into a softer styling arrangement.
