Anna Getty Hairstyles
Anna Getty is a real “Renaissance Woman”. As an actress, writer, yoga instructor and entrepreneur, she keeps pretty busy. Her
dark-chocolate brown hair is a medium texture, very slightly wavy and fairly dense. Her face is a long oval and needs a suitable
hair cut to balance some of her stronger features.
Anna was there in January of 2004 when “W” magazine hosted their first Golden Globes event. She was sporting a super-short gamine cut
that seemed more designed for ease of care than for style. The hair is healthy and shiny, but is too short to show any amount of body,
and does nothing to alleviate the more-prominent features of her face. The styling even seems hyper-casual as it appears that the hair
could simply have been towel-dried and combed into place, then left to its own devices. Ms. Getty is a beautiful woman, but this cut
isn’t doing her any favors.
We see Anna Getty again in January of 2008 at the LA premiere of “The Business of Being Born” having grown out her previously shorn
locks. It seems that now Anna has gone into the opposite direction, as her hair – while very healthy-looking – seems to lack any
definitive intention in styling. The lower quarter of the length is layered but that does nothing to create any balance in the face.
I would love to see Anna’s hair with an asymmetrical element – perhaps a side part and some additional curl along with deeper
layering. As it is, the length tends to make Anna look jowly and exaggerates the length of her nose.
