Agyness Deyn Hairstyles

Agyness Deyn has been hailed as “the fashion industry’s next great supermodel” and has been seen on the covers of American Vogue and UK Vogue, and has been on the cover of Vogue Italia twice. Ms. Deyn was born Laura Hollins.

Agyness Deyn Agyness was spotted in November of 2007 at the British Fashion Awards looking punky in a super-short, swirled and spiky gamine cut hair. With her pale-golden locks shorn thus and textured with a razor, the style is directed into the sort of controlled-chaos that emphasizes a youthful zest for life. The cut also focuses attention on the eyes, which are made-up to draw and hold that attention. This is a great look for young women who want a funky, easy-care hairstyle or who like to play with the extreme ends of blonde color as the short length means that damaged hair can be re-grown and replaced with healthy hair in relatively short order.

pixie cut Among the attendees of Tod’s Art Plus Film Party (March 6th, 2008) Ms. Deyn sports a subdued and more structurally-styled pixie cut. The heavily-textured ends form sharp points and the whole style has a controlled, conservative feel. The look is likely the result of a partial blow-dry using a styling gel and a flat brush (until the hair is mostly dry) followed by a dab of pomade raked through the hair on the fingertips to give the added definition to the textured hair.

fringe heavy pixie On September 18, 2007 (at the “Golden Age of Couture VIP Gala”) we find Agyness Deyn wearing a fringe-heavy pixie-cut in the signature “pale yellow-blonde” for which she is known. The weight line of the cut follows the mid-point between the parietal ridge and top of the ear and dips to the occipital bone in back. The cut is good for a long-faced individual as the weight line creates a horizontal line that gives an illusion of width. The cut is textured with a razor to soften the ends and the perimeter lines to soften an otherwise severe look. The styling is accomplished using minimal (if any) product and likely a blow-dryer and brush or fingers.
